Meeting called to order at 6:35pm – Welcome everyone for attending

 

1)                 Asked for volunteers to fill association officer vacancies (President, Vice-President, and Secretary).  5 people expressed interest:

     A separate meeting was held among interested parties to determine appointed position.

 

2)     Various items discussed with regards to the playground.

          Playground renovation sign-up – 6 people expressed interest in helping with repairs.

Cost for renting a generator for this event will be considered.  This event would also include landscaping of berry bushes w/thorns removal and round-up treatment for permanent removal of other nuisances.

 

3)     Suggestions are being asked for by homeowners on ways to keep teenagers out of trouble.  Possibly some current homeowners interested in mentoring can help or suggest ideas.

 

4)     Food Lion shopping cart left in community – call Food Lion directly and they will come for pick up.  If you see someone doing this, try to discourage this behavior.

 

5)     Street light outages – please report street light outages to the City of Durham – 560-1200 or Duke Energy – (800) 777-9898.  We need to keep our community lit for visibility & safety.

6)     Asking for help with website content.  Homes for sale, events within the community (i.e. yard sales, neighborhood watch meetings, etc.), tips for gardening, local links to your favorite places, etc.
